También es muy útil para quienes ya conocen a este sabio, pues contiene referencias relevantes de diversos escritos relacionados con Ramana. I will give them one heart and one way, so that they will always fear Me for their own good and for the good of their children after them. The result of the union of believers with God, and therefore with each other, will be that the world will see in it a proof of the divine origin of Christianity, and will believe that the Father sent the Son into the world. Bliss is not added to your nature, it is merely revealed as your true natural state, eternal and imperishable.

This requires a certain amount of faith on my part, faith that they really know what they're talking about. Ramana Maharshi was one of the most significant spiritual teachers to emerge from India during the first half of the century, and remains widely admired. The ‘Forty [Verses] on That Which Is’, is a Tamil poem that Sri Ramana composed in July and August 1928 when Sri Muruganar asked him to teach us the nature of the reality and the means by which we can attain it. If you get past the first quarter and into the second quarter this is when it really opens your eyes and continues in this vain for the remainder of the book. It is no use complaining of the niggardliness of the ocean; the bigger the vessel the more he will be able to carry.David Godman’s Be As You Are: The Teachings of Sri Ramana Maharshi is one of the most popular books for acquiring the teachings of Ramana Maharshi. Part II is entitled “Inquiry and Surrender” and three out of the four chapters, herein, discuss the process of self-inquiry. that they may all be one; even as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be one in us; that the world may believe that you sent me. Because since the ego which identifies the form of a body as ‘I’ has perished, he (the wise one) is the formless existence-consciousness. Sri Ramana saw no conflict between working and self-enquiry and he maintained that with a little practice it could be done under any circumstances.

e. the body and the mind) requires continuous mental effort, even though the effort is nearly always at a subconscious level. As you, Father, are in me and I am in you, may they also be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me. He did sometimes say that regular periods of formal practice were good for beginners, but he never advocated long periods of sitting meditation and he always showed his disapproval when any of his devotees expressed a desire to give up their mundane activities in favour of a meditative life. e. the relation between the Father and Son, the manner in which the Father lives in the Son, as in his organ or instrument of manifestation and object of supreme affection, and as the Son is in the Father, abiding ever in the light of his glory, in the power of his Name, and as these two are thus One in being, so, or similarly, the believers are to live in and for each other, becoming a unity, just as the Father and Son are unity. His answers to every question, despite being somewhat disconnected from normal human experience, seem to be correct; truthful on a very fundamental level and there is so much consistency in all his answers.

If you looking for the way of enlightenment (self-realisation) or just answers, I guarantee this book is a must have, be warned though, his teachings are explained well in the book but to carry out the practice, well that's a totally different matter all together. The teachings, as enumerated by David Godman, provide a pathway to liberation of the Self by realizing the Self through Self Enquiry. Recommended as a intermediate level Advaita book, or Ramana book, rather than for someone starting off on the path of self-inquiry or nonduality. Highly recommended this is a book for those with a sincere interest in a Practice described as the direct path to Truth.
